Multilingual/ELL/ESL

Multilingual Education typically refers to "first-language-first" education, that is, schooling which begins in the mother tongue and transitions to additional languages. ESL is an abbreviation for "English as a Second Language". This is mainly used to talk about foreign students learning English while living in an English-speaking country.
